I was trained in the luxury niche of hairdressing in Knightsbridge, London, under Ivo Venturi. My hairdressing career has taken me all over Europe, before returning to the UK where I’ve been in luxury salon ownership and management for many years. I’m proud to have brought Alta to Hitchin, where we offer West-End levels of service, without the London price tag.
With 15 years of experience in the industry, I have built a career in colouring education and give my heart and soul to love for the craft. From the moment I saw a blow dry in a salon at a very young age I was mesmerised. I knew this industry was more than a job and this is was I was born to do. Today I’m proud to be the manager at Alta???? where I try to lead with passion. We have a talented team of stylists who are are all amazing in their own right.
Personally, I have achieved “Master Craftsman” in a colour degree from the West End Academy of Alfaparf in London. I have accumulated a base of loyal and trusting clientele, who I love getting to know, to learn their own unique styles and preferences. Every single client interaction and every transformation carries a piece of my heart and soul, my work isn’t a job, it’s an extension of myself, fact!!!

I was lucky enough to find myself under a Wella master colourist during my training at a diverse and modern salon. Even in 1995 they were at the forefront of hair design and fashion, undertaking all aspects of hairdressing including cutting edge extension techniques & colour work. After completing my training I taught hairdressing at a local college, and assessed NVQ trainees within a salon environment.
I took the leap owning my own salon for a number of years before heading off for the adventure of a lifetime, as a session stylist.
Having joined ALTA, I love the diversity of appointments coming through the door.
I’m Charlotte, I have been in the hairdressing industry for 9 years training at HOB salons in London. I have been at Alta for almost 2 years and love every moment of working here! I specialise in cutting, blow drying, tints and hair extensions and my favourite out of them all has to be a big bouncy blow!
Outside work getting my lashes and nails done is a must! I love spending my down time with family and friends and relaxing. I’m excited to have been promoted to Assistant Manager, and look forward to taking a more leading role in the running of the salon, where I can use the skills I’m always striving to build on.
Ella has joined us from St Albans. She specialises in precision cutting, bridal hair, all aspects of colouring and has vast experience having worked with acclaimed stylists. She has hit the ground running since joining the salon and is a fantastic addition to our team.
I joined Alta Hairdressing in September 2024, bringing a creative eye, technical precision, and a genuine passion for people. My journey into hairdressing began with the ABC of Cut by Vidal Sassoon, followed by a Hairdressing and Barbering course at the London Hair Academy, and most recently, advanced training with Alan D Hairdressing Education.
Born in Istanbul and bilingual in English and Turkish, I bring an international perspective to my work, enriched by my BA (Hons) in Fashion Design. My fashion background continues to shape my sense of style and attention to detail behind the chair.
To me, hairdressing is more than a service — it’s about trust, care, and one-to-one connection. I aim to create a personal, uplifting experience where each client feels both confident and cared for.
Outside of the salon, I love staying active with wild water swimming, cycling, and stand-up paddle boarding. I also share my days with my beloved 11-year-old Romanian rescue dog, who keeps me company on long walks and outdoor adventures.
My name is Hannah. I trained at Barnfield College for two years, gaining my Level 1, 2, and 3 hairdressing qualifications. During this time, I worked in various salons, learning different techniques and knowledge. Near the end of my college course, I became employed at Alta as a stylist and am currently working my way up to a more senior position.
When I’m not working, I like to keep in touch with my family and friends, or explore new places, whether it’s trying out new foods or finding unique views. I’m always on the move, heading up to Central London to attend the Alfa Parfum Academy and further my career and skillset. As a new stylist, I’m eager to expand my clientele and work with anyone, regardless of their hair type.

George is a barber at Alta with nearly four years of experience, specializing in modern men’s hairstyles. He’s passionate about clean, stylish cuts and creating a relaxed, welcoming experience for every client.
Martin Gaudion is our newest Style Director and colour specialist with 19 years of industry experience. Trained within high-performing London salon environments, including Rush, Martin combines strong technical foundations with a sharp creative eye.
Specialising in advanced colour work — from precision blonding and grey blending to corrective transformations, Martin approaches every consultation with structure, clarity, and honesty. His understanding of colour theory, undertones, and formulation allows him to create visually spectacular results.
Alongside colour, Martin is long established in precision cutting, tailoring shapes that complement face structure, lifestyle, and personal style. His work balances creativity with control — polished, intentional, and built to last beyond the salon visit.
